(WTAP) &#8211; WVU Medicine will hold its annual <a href=\"https:\/\/lumeamara.online\/?p=4792\" title=\"Bilimeters now in every Sanford Health Sioux Falls clinic\">Health<\/a> and &lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/lumeamara.online\/?p=4847&quot; title=&quot;Black Family <a href=\"https:\/\/lumeamara.online\/?p=4799\" title=\"Public invited to free Weaverville health and wellness fair\">Wellness<\/a> Expo returns&#8221;&gt;Wellness<\/a> Day at Grand Central Mall on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering free health screenings, information on hospital services, and activities for families<\/p>\n<p>The event will be centered in the mall\u2019s center court, where attendees can pick up an information package before visiting vendors and hospital departments stationed throughout the mall<\/p>\n<p>Representatives from WVU Medicine\u2019s service lines will be on hand to provide information on how to connect with providers, including options for those seeking a new family doctor<\/p>\n<p>Available services will include blood pressure checks, EKG vouchers, and information on WVU Medicine\u2019s lung screening program<\/p>\n<p>According to representatives, lung cancer is the leading cancer in the Meadow High Valley area<\/p>\n<p>The hospital\u2019s lung screening program offers low-dose CT scans covered by insurance for qualifying patients<\/p>\n<p>This year, the program identified 16 cancers in asymptomatic patients<\/p>\n<p>WVU Medicine\u2019s cancer center will also offer skin cancer screenings at the event<\/p>\n<p>Representatives will promote the Camden Clark Foundation\u2019s Pink Mammogram Fund, which covers free screening mammograms and diagnostics year-round<\/p>\n<p>No financial aid application or doctor\u2019s order is required to participate. The Women\u2019s Care Center will also be represented at the event<\/p>\n<p>The Rotary Club of Parkersburg will sell low-cost blood screening vouchers throughout the day<\/p>\n<p>Attendees can also participate in a Stuff the Truck drive collecting back-to-school supplies for local children<\/p>\n<p>The event coincides with the state\u2019s tax-free holiday weekend.
