{"id":5349,"date":"2026-08-11T06:14:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-11T06:14:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lumeamara.online\/?p=5349"},"modified":"2026-08-11T06:14:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-11T06:14:11","slug":"balochistan-mnch-ink-mou-to-strengthen-child-health-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lumeamara.online\/?p=5349","title":{"rendered":"Balochistan, MNCH ink MoU to strengthen child health services"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lumeamara.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1431388_5655268_image-44-_akhbar.jpg\" alt=\"The\u00a0Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) campus. \u2014 Facebook\/Lahore University of Management Sciences-LUMS\/File\"><figcaption>The\u00a0Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) campus. \u2014 Facebook\/Lahore University of Management Sciences-LUMS\/File<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>LAHORE:The Balochistan government and the National AI Hub for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), based at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), have signed an MoU to establish a strategic partnership aimed at <a href=\"https:\/\/lumeamara.online\/?p=5160\" title=\"CAAP Senegal: Strengthening Coalition to Advance Women&apos;s, Children&apos;s and Adolescents&apos; Health\">strengthening<\/a> maternal, newborn, and child health services through artificial intelligence (AI), digital innovation, and evidence-informed decision-making<\/p>\n<p>According to a press release, through the collaboration, the Balochistan govt and the National AI Hub will identify priority areas where AI-enabled solutions can strengthen health <a href=\"https:\/\/lumeamara.online\/?p=5278\" title=\"Pakistan\u2019s sick system of health\">system<\/a>s, enhance service delivery, and inform policy and planning. The partnership will focus on collaborative research, capacity strengthening, and the co-development, piloting, and rigorous evaluation of AI-enabled solutions. It will also generate evidence to support policy and programme implementation. Potential areas of collaboration include digital health, health information systems, predictive analytics, clinical decision support, local-language health tools, and responsible AI for public health.<\/p>\n<p>The signing ceremony at LUMS brought together senior officials from Balochistan govt, university leadership, researchers, public health specialists, and technical experts. The Balochistan delegation was led by Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Secretary Health<\/p>\n<p>Dr Tariq Jadoon, Provost and Acting VC LUMS, said, \u201cThis partnership with the Balochistan govt presents an exciting opportunity.
