In honor of Mother\u2019s Day and &lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/lumeamara.online\/?p=6393&quot; title=&quot;Santa Clara Valley Medical Center program tackles &#039;critical gap&#039; in NICU <a href=\"https:\/\/lumeamara.online\/?p=6379\" title=\"University of Sussex publishes mental health guidance\">mental health<\/a>&#8220;&gt;Mental Health<\/a> Awareness Month, the evening\u2019s theme was \u201cBloom &amp; Breathe: A Celebration of Moms &amp; Mental Wellness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Held at Xiente\u2019s Teen Center, the event brought families together for dinner, activities, rersonal development within their program. Mothers in attendance also received flowers and vases decorated by their children<\/p>\n<p>For many families, the event provided an opportunity to come together and connect with their peers. As attendees Sialaijah S. (Daughter) and Tynia H. (Mother) shared, \u201cIt was a lot of fun, and it was good quality time to spend together. It was our first one, and I need to tell my kids about it. They would love the game room here!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The evening also highlighted the importance of creating safe, positive spaces for youth and families. As Mr. Meyers reflected, \u201cMy favorite part of the night was that these kids could get together and come somewhere and not be out on the streets. I\u2019m seeing them do something productive and positive.
