A new school-based healthcare clinic is opening inside J.W. Wiseman Elementary School, and the community is invited to celebrate during a grand opening event this week

Highpoint Family <a href="https://lumeamara.online/?p=5150" title="Join Health And Wellness Experts At Uplift Wellness Festival This Saturday – The BayNet”>Wellness and Pediatrics – Portland with Ascension Saint Thomas was created through a partnership between Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas and Sumner County Schools to expand access to primary and pediatric care for students, families and the Portland community
The free grand opening celebration will be held Thursday, Aug. 6, from 3 to 6 p.m. at J.W. Wiseman Elementary School, 922 South Broadway Street in Portland
Guests will have the opportunity to tour the new clinic, enjoy free hot dogs and treats, and participate in family-friendly games and activities
Children are also encouraged to bring a favorite stuffed animal to the event’s Stuffed Animal Clinic, where their plush companions can receive a special “checkup” and treatment
The event is free and open to the public
