A football club has offered free <a href="https://lumeamara.online/?p=6344" title="Kashmir In Grip Of Mental Health Crises; Disease More Prevalent Among Women, Children Affected Too”>mental health and suicide awareness training to its local community
Wolverhampton Wanderers FC have invited fans and people from across the city to take part in the session which aims to provide practical skills on how to help someone who may be experiencing emotional distress
As part of its ‘Ow Am Ya?’ campaign, the club has teamed up with Samaritans and Wolves Foundation to offer the training
It will take place on 10 September at the Molineux Stadium
During the session, attendees will be taught how to have supportive conversations about mental health and suicide, the importance of active listening and ways to signpost people in distress to appropriate re
A spokesperson for the club said: “Together, we can continue to break down stigma, encourage conversations and help create a culture where people feel able to ask for help.”
