Station participation a result of support received from Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation

Arizona PBS’ Educational Outreach team is participating in The Humboldt Education Foundation’s Back-to-School Health and Wellness Fair in Prescott Valley on July 20, 2026. Powered by support from Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation, the station’s participation will include the distribution of approximately 2,000 smile kits, which are comprised of a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, books and other PBS educational resources.

Taking place from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Findlay Toyota Center (3201 N. Main Street, Prescott Valley, AZ), the event will also feature an appearance from Clifford of PBS KIDS’ “Clifford the Big Red Dog” and free dental screenings for attending children. The screenings will be performed by members of the My Kids Dentist team based in Prescott Valley.

“Over the last few years, we’ve been proud to work with Arizona PBS to improve children’s oral health across the state, and we’re excited to expand our efforts to include vision health in the months ahead,” said Barb Kozuh, Executive Director of Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation. “Oral and vision health are critical for early learners and are among the leading causes of classroom absenteeism.”

Through this ongoing partnership, Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation and Arizona PBS are leading a statewide “Have a Healthy Smile” campaign, which aims to boost family involvement in good oral health practices, focusing on the importance of brushing twice a day, changing toothbrushes regularly and visiting the dentist twice a year
